Personal breast pumps are designed to be used by one mother (not shared) and are the best choice for mothers who have full milk production. Which personal breast pump should you choose? Consider how often you’ll be pumping and your personal preference. Working full-time? Then Ameda’s Purely Yours Ultra and Purely Yours models are the best choices. Pumping less than once a day? A One-Hand Breast Pump is one option, but if you want faster and easier pumping, a Purely Yours model is another. Pump choice is all about you!

Hospital-Grade Breast Pumps

Ameda Elite

Ameda Elite pump available to rent by the month $63

A hospital-grade breast pump is recommended when a baby is not yet breastfeeding and a pump needs to be effective enough to establish full milk production. These pumps—most often rented, but sometimes loaned by public health departments—are used when babies are born preterm, sick, or are not breastfeeding for other reasons. Although multi-user pumps are shared, each mother attaches her own milk collection kit to the pump, which keeps her milk separate.
